The Abominable Snow-Mark

Woohoo! I actually got one done in a day! And before 10! AND I'm actually proud of it! I like how this one turned out. I love monochromatic art.

Today's hero is based on my friend Mark! He speciffically asked to be something cold related, so I created THE SNOWMARK! He's made entirely out of snow, and can only survive in the normal world within his special cold-suit. He has the ability to change shape, chill things, and project avalanches of snow at people. Here's the original ink drawing with some sketches:

Also I've ben practicing drawing. Check it out:
I drew her from a story in the New Yorker.
Also, I've been playing around with my self portrait, trying to do a new cartoon avatar:

Hmm, I have to leave early tomorrow, so I don't know if there will be a hero tomorrow. Depends how determined I am tonight.

All Hot and Bothered

You guys should know that I actually have accidentally hit myself in the face with my own hand. It's like ladeedadeedadeedaWHAM! Hand in the face. Those things just come out of nowhere!

Man this took so long to do, and the drawings aren't that well rendered, AND there's no background. I definately think I should stick to less panels and more detail. I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorow, I definately don't have a Dumgens and Dragins ready. I may have to put that on hold, even though I really wanted to make it up to at least 10. We'll see.

big butt, horrible quality

Sorry for the horrible quality, but the power went out in my house so I had to rely on the flash of my camera and my auxiliary laptop power. I'll upload a better version tomorrow, pending electricity.

EDIT: Oh my crap that is so much better. I don't think I've ever loved a scanner more than I do now.

But I do have other stuff that I scanned in earlier today!

This is what I thought a bugbear in Dungeons and Dragons would look like before I knew what a bugbear was.

And here's a surprise sample panel from Friday's Dumgens & Draggins!

Go perspective!

Soulmates

Wow! Amazing! A comic in which I really like the art! I didn't think it was possible! Man that's awesome. I think I'm finally getting comfortable drawing female heads and bodies. Go me. And look how spiffy I look! I should draw myself in style more often.

born player

The man knows what he wants. Babies and small children always get the chicks.

Also:

Thank you women's health Magazine! I'm trying to fuse pen and charcoal in a kind of frankensteinish medium like I did on a certain noir stop-motion animation. So perhaps you'll se her again.
