Date Night is about a couple that try to spice up their sex life with a rape scenario, but everything goes horribly wrong when they both try to have each other killed!

Mature Content: Trigger Warning for nudity, foul language, rape roleplay, violence, domestic violence...it's a brutal story.

24 hour comic: John Shift in Shift Happens

So this past Saturday was 24-Hour Comic Day and I managed to make and finish a comic! With 6 hours to spare! It's the first time I've finished one and I'm pretty proud of that. It helped that I worked small and did a mostly wordless comic. Also, I really like the main character and my first story idea was way too complicated so I've saved that later. It's a superhero noir and I'm wondering why it took me this long to do one of those. Anyways, I'll have an update later in the week, but for now, here is my full 24-hour comic, with some character sketches afterwards. I hope you like it!

Beating Online Harassment

Oh hey, remember that online harassment comic I was making? Here it is! Hope you enjoy!

I mean this is a revenge fantasy comic, but seriously, shit like this needs to stop. I am super tired of hearing from my female colleagues that they get abuse heaps on them for writing any kind of article. That is NOT OK. Don't do it, and if you see it happening, tell them to cut that shit out and report them. We as a people and as an industry need to stop this.

But hey, this is just a dumb comic. Better people than me have written about this, like this great article by Laura Hudson. Go read that.

Hey there it's time for an update! What's been going on with me? not much actually. Well I am working on a number of animations and some storyboards, but nothing to show yet. But I am in an anatomy class at SVA in which I do have stuff to show!

After doing life drawing, we are finding and sketching the skeleton(and later muscles) within the model. It's quite difficult. Especially those damned vertebrae!

Also last week I reviewed Side Effects which was really good, and A Good Day to Die Hard which was the opposite of that. I did a comic for the Die Hard review that I quite enjoyed:

24 Hour Comic Day 2012

Another 24 Hour Comic Day has come and gone and yet again I realize I have no idea what the word simple means. Unfortunately I couldn't finish and was only able to pencil and semi ink 12 of the 24 pages. Take a look after the jump!

Hey all! Here's a quick update of doodles and things.

 Random people in cartoon form I saw in the city. But Josh, I hear you saying, did you sketch random people on the street? No silly I took pictures and drew them later of course!

Hey guys. Haven't had a post in awhile because I've been busy! I'm taking classes again! One in Inking and one in Storyboarding.  I'll have more to post on the storyboarding class later, but for now, I have some stuff to show off from my Inking class!

Our first assignment was to do a one-page comic with ink wash. I've been wanting to do a "Professor Malceor: Necromancer of the Subway Station" comic for awhile and thought this was a good excuse.  I think this came out pretty good for my first Ink Wash, though I'm still trying to find the best brushes. After the jump, how I planned it out, more inking work, and other stuff!

Dark Knight and Moon Knight

So last week I finished an illustration I've been working on and off since December:

It's my submission to Relaunched!, though I don't know when or if they're going to showcase it, so I'm posting it here now. I don't love the background, but I don't hate it. Also, man stuff in illustrator takes forever!

Synopsis:
With Gotham quieting down, Bruce Wayne takes Wayne industries to New York for a short stint so Batman can clean up the mean streets of New York! Little did he know that it already had a white knight protector, the Moon Knight! As both heroes and men of intrigue, with the same goals in mind, they decide to  team up to fight crime together as The Dark Knight and the Moon Knight! 

In this premiere double-blotch issue, they must investigate the strange and gruesome deaths of...criminals?!  Some masked vigilante known as "Rorschach" is going around murdering thieves, crooks and killers in cold blood!  Can they work together to stop this maniac? And should they?

So here it is! The version you can read it! I'd really like some feedback on the story. I'm really excited about it, and I'd like to think it's good, but it's a female main character and her perspective, so I may just be pulling a Zach Snyder here. I promise tomorrow I will post about something completely different.

The Look and the Looker

So here is the full rough version of my 24 hour comic. I hope it's mostly legible and that you can understand what's going on(please tell me if you can't read the dialogue so I can go over it with text). More than that, I hope you enjoy it. Please tell me if it's good or not as I really can't tell when I'm this excited about soemthing.  And any feedback would be nice.  I put it after the jump because it's rather long to display on the site.

24 hour comic: start

I've started doing my 24 hour comic for 24 hour comic day!  If you don't know what it is, click the link. Basically, I have to make a 24 page comic in 24 hours, starting roughly 2 hours ago (it's 2:15 now). I'll be updating throughout the day on my progress. So far, I have a story, the main characters, and sketches!

I know they're horrible quality, they were uploaded from my phone. NO TIME. You can see the main protagonist in the first one on the left. Her name is Tameron and she's a burlesque dancer(not a stripper, there's a difference). Also, it's a sci-fi futuristic noir.

With all this starfire/catwoman craziness going around, I wanted to do something that proves you can have a sexy character who isn't just all about boobs and sex. I think I have an interesting story. I don't know if it'll work. But at least I'm trying something different. Even just looking at the character sketches now, I can already tell I've bitten off more than I can chew. I've tried to keep it simple(simple for me that is).

So I have the story planned out and most of the characters drawn(OH GOD WORLD BUILDING) , the plan now is to work out the layout for the whole thing, get a few hours of sleep, then work all day until midnight tomorrow to finish it. It's not going to be colored, and if I do it right, it'll only need to be half inked.

I can do this.

You're easy. And you know what I want. Sure everyone says you're not that great, you're too old, you've got problems, but who doesn't(lookin' at you, photoshop, you force-quitting whore!)? I think what I'm trying to say flash is that you're the program for me. So are we gonna make some comics?
