Hmm, no new comic today, but I will show you a sketch of what I'm working on, a Moon Knight MRVLCAT! I'm debating between Moon Cat or Meow Knight.

Man I love screwing up pickup lines on purpose. I could do alot more with this one too. Technically this is 2 comics back to back because I won't be able to do one tomorrow.

Birthday Splat

Seriously, sure he's the unholy child of Satan, but what's he going to do with suicide? That's definately one of those gifts that's fun for five minutes, and then you go back to playing with real toys.

ALso, I do really want the new spiderman game.

All Hot and Bothered

You guys should know that I actually have accidentally hit myself in the face with my own hand. It's like ladeedadeedadeedaWHAM! Hand in the face. Those things just come out of nowhere!

Man this took so long to do, and the drawings aren't that well rendered, AND there's no background. I definately think I should stick to less panels and more detail. I'm not sure what I'm doing tomorow, I definately don't have a Dumgens and Dragins ready. I may have to put that on hold, even though I really wanted to make it up to at least 10. We'll see.

Hmm, I'm not really proud of the background and it's lack of accurate perspective and detail, but at least it has a perspective. I think I'm getting tired of Hipster zombies though. Tomorrow's comic will be longer and funnier! Probably.

hipster zombie 02 and backgrounds

Man I hope you guys enjoy these hipster zombies because they've kinda become my go-to material for when it's late and I don't feel like doing a full 500 panel comic.

Also, I've decided it's now background week, which means I have to force myself to do a buttload of backgrounds! I know I've said this before, but look! I already started!

I sketched this from a "House" magazine. The perspective is probably off because I forgot my ruler(straight lines, my one weakness).
I think I might take out a home and gardens magazine out of the library and copy the crap out of it. I need to really get into drawing details and perspecitve and such if I wanna get any farther with Rickety Rat and the many many comics I want to start creating.

Hey look it's Gordon Freeman 02

Wow, this is like two days worth of work here.

SERIOUSLY I went through like twenty groups before the end of the game. And I was trying to save them most of the time. You'd think after awhile a couple of people would be like, "no it's cool, we'll just revolution over here, you go on ahead," or Gordon Freeman would be a total war torn veteran. But I guess it's a good depiction of war; you'd be friends with a guy, they'd get taken out by a walking alien death machine right before your eyes, then another guy who looks just like him joins up with you and the whole process repeats.

hipster zombie?!

I was in the grocery store and I just burst out laughing when I randomly thought of this (Yeah, that's how I come up with ideas, I'll just be walking around normally then hysterically burst into laughter for no reason). I really want to make a whole blog dedicated to cartoons like this, but I'm not sure if I could come up with that many ideas or if it would be entertaining enough for people to waste their precious internet time on.

Also zombie related, has anyone seen this? And is it terribly good or just terrible?

Hey look it's Gordon Freeman 01

I know it's a little late, but I finally played Half-Life 2. But there's some things that don't make sense with Gordon Freeman. [rant]He's supposed to be a super scientist and a great resistance hero, but somehow he gets handed a crowbar and a flashlight and gets stuck doing the most menial jobs around? There was literally a time when there was a locked door and a crawl space and I was waiting for my group to follow me through, but they all just stood there. "This door needs unlocking! Can you go take care of it Gordon?" Really? I'm the only one who can do this? Y'know sometimes I think the big twist at the end will be that Gordon's delusional and everyone made up that super scientist part. He's just the janitor and everyone just wants to make him feel good while he does the worst jobs. Why else would they send the scientist into the nuclear core instead of operating a control panel?[/rant]

But it is awesome, and I'm in the middle of episode 1 now.

Also, here are some sketches of the half life chibi character design!
I think I might do a couple more of these. Not a weeks worth, but tow or three more at least.

You guys don't realize that's what I shout every time I pick up a price gun. And that's why they only let me work there part time.

There haven't been enough daily comics up in this joint. Part of it is fretting over Dumgens and Draggins which I'm slowly but surly getting tired of. I've been trying to finish this one for two weeks and hopefully it'll be up by tomorrow. I need a new way to do these things. I'm looking into interpretive dance.
