Happy New Year! So I haven been super busy finishing illustrations and also going to Magfest, but now I have finally gotten home! And now I'm sick. But anyways, here is the stuff I've been working on!
I realized I haven't done much X-Men art, so I did a poster of some of my favorite X-Men with all the X-Men names! No there's no Wolverine, I don't have any interest in drawing Wolverine. More after the jump!

30 characters: radishes and zombie killers
I've had a busy couple of days, but I didn't forget my 30 characters!
This is Billy the Emo Radish. He's sick and tired of your bullpoop vegetable corporations, man. He cuts himself with a peeler. Dude's got problems, ok?

character challenge
Hey gang, haven't updated in awhile. Been busy. But now there is new stuff!
These Noiry people came out pretty darn good.
There's a thing I just learned about for the month of November called 30 characters in which you create 30 all new characters in 30 days, one for every day in November. I found out about it too late to register officially, but I decided to try it unofficially anyways because it seemed like a good exercise. So here's my first character!
She's a badass zombie killer. Haven't thought of a name yet. Pamela? She looks like a Pamela.
Also, there will be a new Barber and new Purple Boy and Turquoise Girl next week. Without fail. So there.

Rickety PB and TG
Sketches ahoy! The third update this week! What does this mean?
Not sure, I just felt like drawing a boy over an open landscape. It's a good metaphor because there's so much more after the jump!

trying new things
Hey guys! New sketchy post! Have a bunch of new stuff and junk.
First I'm trying out a new style. I kept the original pencils and colored over them in photoshop. It's different I think it needs some work still, but it's interesting and a start.

noir girls and anniversaries
Hey guys! I have done sketches and things! Look at my things that I have done!
First off, here are some sketches I did today of some lovely noir ladies. The first one I started off using this technique of penciling out the angles which I got from this video. It seemed like an interesting idea, so I tried it out.

It was an interesting exercise. I should try it out more. Then I did a more fully rendered version which I'm pretty proud of:

New comic and cards!
Hey guys! Did you check out today's Purple Boy and Turquoise Girl yet? Well you should! It's totally cute-dorable! Here's a preview:

This time I inked it with a semi-brush pen and scanned it in. It was waaaaay faster and I've got a much easier time making solid curvy lines, but the lines aren't as crisp when I bring them into photoshop. Then again I work on such a huge scale and scale it down when I import it, maybe no one will even notice. What do you guys think? Is there a noticeable difference between this comic and previous comics drawn completely in photoshop?
I also have new card designs! Yesterday when I uploaded the image of the assassin, I thought it was nice and interesting and had just the right amount of space for information, so I turned it into a card!

I like the slightly yellowed lined paper; it gives a nice sketchy cartoony feel close to the style I like. So I made some more variations:
So what do you guys think of them? Good idea? Bad idea? Is all the info clear? Do you have a favorite? I may do a couple more if I find some more sketches of mine I really like.

Noir sketches and webcomics!
Hey guys! I haven't really posted on here in awhile, so I thought I'd give you a look at some noir sketches! It's for an upcoming sketchbook project and I'll most likely be done and posting about it in about a month, so look forward to that!
One of the protagonists-The Florist

A saucy Secretary

Two sisters. Hmm, "opposites attract" or "Twisted Sister"?

Bad Cop Good Cop

Some skeevy character: A business man, drug dealer, and a druggie

Some lovely ladies

A bartender, an old guy, and a psychiatrist

Also, I haven't been doing comics here, because I've been doing comics for another site I've become a part of, Rocket Powered Dragon! We have comics, animations, games, illustrations and more! You should really check out our stuff! Also, I animated the banner, which I'm pretty proud of.
If you've been going through Josh comic withdrawl, you'll be happy to know I have three webcomics up there! The Adventures of Purple Boy and Turquoise Girl, which is funny and light hearted, The Book of the Barber, which I've finally started up, and Brother Rabbit comics, which I'll be doing a couple of every now and then.
We also have Random Awesome comics, which I did one for, and I might do one there every now and again.
Considering I have 3 of them, and I'm trying to be professional and not BS them, they updates on all of them might be sporadic, but I'll try to get a new one of each up every week.
Oh also, if you didn't know, I did a bunch of reviews over at Sketched Screenings! So you should check those out too!

S.A.D. Day 12, Also flash
I'm pretty sure this is the most insulting one of the batch. You'd almost have to wonder who would buy this. But then the answer is obvious: SOMEONE AWESOME.
If you would like to buy this, you can go here.
Also, another PB and TG sketch!

Y'know Flash, you're like this bad ex girlfriend I keep going back to. Sure there are better girls out there who can get shit done, who, if I just put in the effort I could do so much more, but Damnit Flash, I just keep coming back to you. You're comfortable. You're easy. And you know what I want. Sure everyone says you're not that great, you're too old, you've got problems, but who doesn't(lookin' at you, photoshop, you force-quitting whore!)? I think what I'm trying to say flash is that you're the program for me. So are we gonna make some comics?
Fuck Yeah.

Purple Boy and Turquoise Girl
Hmm, I haven't done a comic in awhile. Still doing other stuff. Other stuff like this! This is Purple Boy and Turquoise Girl! They're a couple. A couple of weirdos! I actually got this idea from seeing an actual young couple on the subway of a guy who was wearing purple and a girl who was wearing turquoise. I just wanted to do a dramaless comic with a couple who act like idiots together. So, perhaps expect something of that nature in the near future. Also other stuff, I have a new blog! It's called Sketched Screenings and it's movie reviews and I sketch stuff and you should totally check it out and follow the crap out of it.
Also also other stuff, it's snowing! But that doesn't have any real affect on my art or your view of it. DOES IT?!
Also also also other stuff, I'm teaching myself after effects this week so I can make kick ass titles and videos like on Bad Universe! The show is utter bullpoop but I enjoy how they use the After Effects in the cartoon segments.
The guy's all like, "Could this happen? Who knows! Maybe!" but then the after effects promos are all like SHOOOM WHAAA GROOOMP and I'm happy. The problem with after effects for me is that it's not really a program, even if I know how to use it, that I can just pick up and make awesome videos with, I have to have a set idea and storyboards and finished artwork. So there may or may not be an awesome AE video later this week.
P.S. also also also, I've decided to do 14 days of Brother Rabbit Single Awareness Day Greeting cards! I actually have just enough. Expect that to begin next week.
