Monday Sketch Dump 3/10

It's time for some sketches and wrap-ups!

I didn't have a blogpost last week, but did you know I just ended the story The Wrong Girl on Dime-Store Noir? The last page is up! Go see it if you haven't already! I also did a pin-up of Jane on a Wrecking Ball because of reasons.

I'm going to start to do more noir pin-ups. Any ideas on characters/archetypes you'd like to see?

Dark Knight and Moon Knight

So last week I finished an illustration I've been working on and off since December:

It's my submission to Relaunched!, though I don't know when or if they're going to showcase it, so I'm posting it here now. I don't love the background, but I don't hate it. Also, man stuff in illustrator takes forever!

Synopsis:
With Gotham quieting down, Bruce Wayne takes Wayne industries to New York for a short stint so Batman can clean up the mean streets of New York! Little did he know that it already had a white knight protector, the Moon Knight! As both heroes and men of intrigue, with the same goals in mind, they decide to  team up to fight crime together as The Dark Knight and the Moon Knight! 

In this premiere double-blotch issue, they must investigate the strange and gruesome deaths of...criminals?!  Some masked vigilante known as "Rorschach" is going around murdering thieves, crooks and killers in cold blood!  Can they work together to stop this maniac? And should they?

Avenging avengers! Assemble and avenge!

I recently finished another submission for Superhero of the Month(fingers crossed!) This month was Avengers, And this is what I came up with: The Avenging Avengers!

Who Avenges the Avengers? The Avenging Avengers! That's who!  After the great "Bendis Catastrophe" that wiped out most of the Marvel Universe, these are the only avengers left to figure out what happened, who orchestrated it and avenge their fallen comrades!  They're a group of misfit heroes consisting of Winter Soldier, Luke Cage, Yellow Jacket, Spider-Woman, and Moon Knight who are all either former villains or unstable, and the only thing keeping them together is the idea of the team itself.

Hey it's the first post of the the New Year! I've finally got some new sketches too!

I love this cartoony version of Batman. Because this is "The Goddamned Batman". He is, as my mom would say, built like a refrigerator.

And Moon Knight! He is like Batman but with multiple personalities and a white hoodie. Why does he wear a bright white hoodie in the middle of the night? Because he just DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK.  I'm doing designs of these two for something I'm working on that will hopefully be really super awesome.

And these are designs for a hero for my dad's Birthday card.

I just hate greeting cards with a fiery passion, so I try to make them as close to comics as possible. He enjoyed it.

Also a lady and a runner. I think this was Winona Ryder.  ANd I may use this runner in an upcoming 2D animation because I AM SO GETTNG BACK INTO ANIMATION. Man, you guys don't even know. Also, I did a review of Young Adult over at Sketched Screenings! Check that out.

The Meow Knight!

Wow, finally finished this bad boy and it only took me several hours. Ugh, not sure if I'm happy with the shading. I might even do a version in flash, or perhaps I'm just tired of it.

When I first started, I was just going to do one, but I had multiple sketches. Luckily for a hero with multiple personalities this is not a problem! I think this was the last MRVLCAT I'll do, unless someone didn't already do Venom, which I find hard to believe.

Also, technically today is 24 hour comic day, which is something I'd love to participate in, but I'm really too busy for it. I guess i could just do it tomorrow, but that wouldn't be in the spirit. Oh well, there's always next year...

Hmm, no new comic today, but I will show you a sketch of what I'm working on, a Moon Knight MRVLCAT! I'm debating between Moon Cat or Meow Knight.
