noir fashion design

Hey there fellow humans. I've been working on my next story for Dime-Store Noir, The Wrong Girl, and have been doing some character design. A big part of that is fashion design! You wouldn't think of this when creating characters, but each one needs his or her own distinct look through the clothing they wear. So here are a few character sheets fo my three main characters:

Vince I looked through a lot of GQ magazine. He was brought up well, and knows how to dress stylishly. 

With Mary I looked through a lot of JC Penny's catalogues. She likes wearing dresses that look pretty.

Jane is a punk who wears just a weird combination fo whatever the hell she wants. I looked at a lot of stuff from Trash and Vaudville.

superheroes and such

Hey hey, I'm doing a blog update today instead of yesterday because of...reasons. Anyways, hey look at these sketches I sketched!

I started playing DC Universe Online and I created a reptilian techy trickster villain with pew pew blasty gloves. I named him Blastalisk! I'll give you a second to realize how awesome that is. I liked him so much, I sketched him! Yes he has a mohawk and a hoodie this isn't amateur hour dammit.

And my second is a robot ice-powered heroine with arrow-shooting called Freezer Burst. I know, not as awesome. But still pretty cool!(pun intended) I want to play this game more just os I can make more heroes. Dammit.

Also also there were a couple of new Dime-Store Noir pages last week. The Big Grief is finishing up this week, and I'm working on the next story, which I will hopefully have up soon. Stay tuned!

Hey there! Since I've been super busy, last week I took pretty easy, so not much to show. But I do have a couple of things:



If you saw the Brother Rabbit animation last week, here is the animatic! I stuck pretty close to it.

Also last week, I had reviews of Batman/Superman: Apocalypse and Robot Combat League.  The Batman/Superman illustrations took a while and I thought they came out pretty nicely:

Also, I had TWO NEW Dime-Store Noir pages up from The Big Grief! It's ending in a few weeks, and I'm excited for the ending. And also for it to be over so I can start on a new story. Man these 24 pagers are MURDER hahaha noir comic humor.

Brother Rabbit Animated!

Hey hey! I have a new animation I've finally finished! It's an animated version of Brother Rabbit and Acquaintances!



If the story seems familiar, it's based off this Brother Rabbit comic. I've been working on this off and on for a year and I finally finished it! It really comes together with Lucas Ciarlante's eerie whimsical music and Alex Bone's silly voices.

That's supposed to be Spider-Woman but something feels off. Anyways, I also did a list/review of The Following on Sketched Screenings and there are DOS NUEVO Dime-Store Noir pages!

Hey look over here! New sketches and such!

Anatomy class is going well. Starting on the muscles and boy are there ever muscles!

Just so you know, I'm not sitting there sketching them in class like a weirdo, These are sketches I made days later from memory, trying to make new characters based off the most memorable parts I can remember. Art students have good character design!  Speaking of character design, I'm sketching the protagonist to my next story in Dime-Store Noir, which you shouldn't see for awhile.
